At that time particular difficulties were being experienced with wheat in the area as a result of the failure of harvests. A group of researchers decided to look for new crops for cultivation and they came across chia seeds which had almost completely disappeared.

When they looked further into this rediscovered food, the researchers found that chia seeds were in fact a food with almost perfect composition.
